One of the best ways to experience London is by immersing yourself into the environment. Wandering the streets and exploring makes you feel like a real Londoner.
Our day in Covent Garden was one of our favorite memories. Our agenda was visit a few beautiful pubs, stroll the streets, and soak in the experience.
It did not disappoint.
As we explored, one street was more intriguing than the next.
Location: Covent Garden is on the Piccadilly Line and the Covent Garden’s tube station very close to the Market Building at the end of James Street. You can easily walk to Covent Garden from most areas in Central London.
Some of our most Instagram-worthy and top sites are listed below.
#1 The Infinity Chamber
During our walk, we stumbled upon this whimsical tunnel by complete chance and at the time had no idea it was the famed Covent Garden Infinity Chamber. Located between Long Acre and Floral Street it’s a great stop for a unique photo.
#2 Floral Court
Another well-known stop that we happened upon by luck during our wandering was in Floral Court. This calm haven is quietly tucked away behind Floral Street and King Street. You are immediately introduced to a courtyard of lovely greenery accompanied by a life-sized elephant sculpture made from dried plant fibres.
#3 Floral Swing Seat
The next photo opp is the Swing Seat in Covent Garden located at the bottom of James Street. Along the way to the swing, we encountered talented street performers and crowds enjoying the free entertainment.
On the day of our visit, a performer with a great voice (@WallidST_) had the street singing and dancing.
#4 Covent Garden – Markets
Covent Garden includes a shopping district with various restaurants and stores surrounded by two main markets: Apple Market and Jubilee Market.
Apple Market is a lovely market filled with stalls selling mostly crafts, jewelry, handmade soaps, goods, collectibles and unique gifts. In the inner area of the market you’ll find some pricier boutiques. There is an interesting and diverse selection of items throughout the market and perfect for those who like to browse. Even if you aren’t looking to purchase, it’s an enjoyable stroll as you enjoy the market vibes. There are also quaint restaurants and cafes scattered throughout the area.
Jubilee Market is a more budget friendly market where vendors display their wares. Some stalls are unique while others showcase traditional cheaper London-themed souvenirs and trinkets. Having a variety of stalls in close proximity make it a nice place to browse for souvenirs or special gifts.
#5 Flower Barrows
Strolling around Covent Garden, keep a look out for the flower barrows located throughout the area. They are dressed with seasonal florals and plants and can be found in Piazzas across all four streets.
#6 Pubs, Glorious Pubs
Part of the allure to wandering London Streets is enjoying the eclectic and beautiful pubs. We created our own “pub crawl”, stopping in some of the many pubs for a quick drink. If alcohol isn’t your thing, how about a photo or a quick snack?
We also felt like a real Londoner mingling with locals who were out for drinks after work.
Our favorite pubs in this area were Mr. Fogg’s Tavern, The White Lion, Crown & Anchor, The Crown and The Lamb and Flag.

Other places to visit when in Covent Garden
We didn’t stop at these locations but they are very popular destinations for tourists and worth a stop when you are in the area.
